Access to the museum is free to the public on the following dates:
  • the first Sunday of each month from the 1st of November until the 31st of March
  • 6 March (Melina Merkouri memorial day)
  • 18 April  (International Monuments Day)
  • 18 May (International Museums Day)
  • the last weekend of September (European Cultural Heritage Days)
  • 28 October (National Holiday)

From the 1st of November until the 31st of March the reduced price of the single ticket applies independently to all visitors.

The special ticket package is valid for 3 days and includes entrance to the Paleopolis-Mon Repos Museum, the Archaeological Museum of Corfu, the Antivouniotissa Museum, the archaeological site of the Old Fortress of Corfu and the Museum of Asian Art.
How to reach the museum
The Archaeological Museum is situated in Garitsa, very close to the city center of Corfu, and is easily accessible on foot, by car and public transportation. 

For the visitors of the historical center of Corfu, it is a 10 minutes walk from the Liston central square.

The museum sits within a densely populated area and there is no available parking. 

Public transportation access with Line 2a Upper Square (Liston) bus.

School and Group Visits
For the regular operation of the museum and the best possible service of the visitors, especially during the crowded summer months, it is recommended that the tourist groups should not exceed the  25-30 individuals and also make an early reservation via:

Especially regarding school groups, the educators are required to get the necessary permission by submiting an Application Form, one month in advance of the scheduled visit, to the or fax number +30 26610 47951.   

School groups should not exceed 20 persons.
Guided Tours
The museum offers free guided tours during special occasions, like public holidays, anniversaries and educational programs.
Guests wishing for a private tour of the Museum's collections should contact certified tour guides.
General Information - Visitors Care
Persons with Disabilities 
The Museum is accessibile to people with disabilities. For their convenience there are special wheelchair ramps, a lift and a specially designed WC.
Disabled people and their escorts are exempt from paying a ticket by showing the necessary identity.
For visually impaired visitors, the Museum features exhibits for tactile exploration, accompanied by corresponding Braille plates. 
Wi-Fi Network 
The Museum provides free Wi-Fi access. 
Photography and Video Recording 
None professional photography and video recording of the exhibits and the indoor areas, without the use of flash and professional equipment, is allowed within the Museum for strictly personal use.
The professional photography and filming of the museum and its exhibits as well as the use of illustrations for commercial, advertising, tourist, scientific, educational and artistic purposes is permitted upon written permission and the required fee payment. Mobile Phone Use 
The use of mobile phones is prohibited within the exhibition and the ground floor projections' area. 
Information material
Brochures in two languages, in both print and digital format, are available to the museum visitors.
Pets are not allowed to enter the museum, except trained dogs accompanying people with disabilities.  
A gift shop of the Fund of Archaeological Proceeds operates in the museum ground floor. The store offers for sale souvenirs, exact copies of Greek museum exhibits, books, maps, archaeological guides and albums.
The shop is temporarily closed.
Museum Cafe
At the museum's yard there is a coffee shop, which is temporarily closed.
